What's done, what's open
Not final, not in strict order, and it will keep evolving. Several items carry a standing reward in delegated voting weight for whoever builds them.
-
Node reliability
ShippedThe proof-of-work threshold bug that stopped nodes from syncing is fixed. The node is now built from source in public, ships with populated bootstrap weights, shuts down cleanly, and no longer regenerates a wide-open control RPC when its config goes missing. A checksummed ledger snapshot is published alongside it.
-
Wallet maintenance
ShippedRaiOne‑Vault rebuilt and redeployed. Deep links and page refreshes inside the wallet had been returning 404 since the June 2024 build; that is fixed.
-
Website
ShippedA modern design, with documentation and tools linked from the places people actually look for them. This is that.
-
Mobile wallet
Open — bountyBe one of the first two to build and run a mobile wallet, and voting weight of up to 10 million XRO (around 4% of the remaining and to-be-distributed supply) will be delegated to your representative of choice. You then benefit from the daily rewards paid to principal representatives in proportion to online voting weight.
-
Explorer
Open — bountyBe one of the first two to build and run an explorer, on the same terms: up to 10 million XRO of voting weight delegated to your representative of choice.
-
Community projects
OpenBuilding something else? Pitch it. Other projects may also be rewarded with voting weight delegated to your representative of choice.
-
Exchanges
Partly doneNanswap lists XRO and has done for some time, so it can be swapped against Nano and a large set of other coins today. Wider listings remain a goal, though that is not something the project can unilaterally deliver.
-
Nonprofit organisation
OpenForm a nonprofit to hold the reward funds, govern development, interact with the community and spread the word.
-
Secure the rewards
OpenRestrict transactions from the accounts holding the remaining and to-be-distributed rewards, so they can only pay principal representatives, and only in proportion to their share of online voting weight.
-
Reduce ledger growth
OpenRequire a reasonable threshold amount before a transaction to an unopened account is possible, to limit ledger bloat.
